Carol Ann Repko Burger - Class of 1959

  Carol Ann Repko Burger, 74 of Ticonderoga and formerly of Newburgh, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Glens Falls Hospital. Born in Newburgh, November 10, 1941, she was the daughter of William and Caroline (Grieveson) Repko. Mrs. Burger especially loved the beauty of the Adirondacks. She became a permanent resident of Ticonderoga in 2010. In Newburgh, she was involved as a Girl Scout Leader and member of the PTA of Newburgh. She also volunteered in the BOCES program and worked as a Teachers' Aide for the East Coldenham Elementary School. She was pre-deceased by her parents, and also by one sister, Lisa Goodman. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Duane A. Burger; three children: Duane A. Burger, Jr. of Port Henry, Rhonda Fisher and her husband, Brian of Newburgh, and Darryl Burger of Ticonderoga; three sisters: Sandy VanLeeuwen of Salisbury Mills, JoAnn Clifford of Florida, and Helen Matthews of Walden; three brothers: William Repko and Edward Repko, both of Florida, and Frederick Cabe of Brooklyn; four grandchildren: John Saunders, Jr. and his wife, Sheila, Tyler Fisher, Skye Fisher, and Rian Fisher; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 12:30 to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 2nd prior to the Memorial Service at the Leptondale Bible Church, 1771 Rte. 300, Newburgh, NY. A Memorial Service will take place at 1 p.m. at the church. Donations in Carol's memory may be made to the C.R. Wood Cancer Center, 100 Park Street, Glens Falls, NY 12801.
