Eileen H. Lanigan Marchione - Class of 1958

  Eileen H. Lanigan Marchione, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 29, 2016. She was 77. Daughter of the late Francis and Clara (Lanigan) Roggendorf, she was born August 24, 1938 in New York City. She married Richard J. Marchione Sr. on May 4, 1963 in St. Patrick’s Church in Newburgh. Richard survives at home. Eileen was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy. She most enjoyed outdoor activities and being with her family. In addition to her husband Richard, she is survived by her sons, Richard Marchione Jr. (Susan) of Greenville Township, NY and Darren Marchione (Lisa) of Walden; her sister, Carol Kessler of Englewood, FL; her brother, Richard Lanigan of Cornelius, NC; grandchildren, Danielle, Gwyneth and Peter; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, April 5 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, with a service at 7:00 pm with Father Bill Scafidi officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
