Tracey Huften VanVoorhis - Class of 1981

      Tracey R. Huften VanVoorhis of the Town of Newburgh, NY, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 28, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 52 years old. She was the daughter of Grace Huften and the late Carl F. Huften Jr. She was born on April 24, 1963 in Syracuse, NY. Tracey was a Purchasing Agent for Mt. Ellis, Perkins, Gorton Food Service and Triple A Supplies for the past 30 years. Tracey was a loving and devoted family woman who enjoyed every moment she could with her loved ones. She had a passion for monkeys, birds, books and gardening which shines all throughout her home. She was a huge inspiration, and truly an angel to us all. Tracey is survived and deeply missed by her mother, Grace Huften; two daughters: Ashleigh Brown and her boyfriend, Cisco Morales, and Lindsay VanVoorhis; two sisters: Tammy King, and Rebecca and her husband, Joseph Hoffman; one brother: Andrew and his wife, Melaney Huften; two nephews: Jason "Sid" King and Dillon Hoffman; and a great niece, Emily "Princess" King. She was also survived by many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends, and her beloved friend, Brian Kenefic. She was predeceased by her father, Carl F. Huften Jr. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Cemetery. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held on Monday, April 4th during the hours of 1 to 3pm at White & Venuto Funeral Home located at 188 North Plank Rd (Rt. 32), Newburgh, NY. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Tracey's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908
