Dorothy Coleman Scott - Class of 1946

    Dorothy E. Coleman Scott, 88, of West Haven, CT, entered into eternal rest on April 3, 2016. She was the widow of Julius R. Scott, Sr. Mrs. Scott was born in Roseton, NY on September 26, 1927. She was the daughter of the late William Coleman and Joanna Bell High Coleman. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Scott was employed at the West Haven VA Medical Center as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of the nursing sorority Chi Eta Phi; the American Association of Nephrology Nurses; and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Milford.She is survived by a son, Julius (Mary Bush-Scott) Scott, Jr.; daughters, Sharon (Prince Davis) Scott and Cheryl (Edgar) Scott Archie; a brother, Ronald (Barbara) Coleman; sister, Mary Sumter; grandchildren, Julius Scott, III and Alexis and Cammera Archie; and other relatives and friends.A celebration of Mrs. Scott's life and legacy will be held Friday, April 8, 2016, at 9:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 28 North St., Milford. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, NY. Professional services entrusted to Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven.
