George Washington Harding, Jr. - Class of 1993

  George Washington Harding Jr., nicknamed “little Butch” of Newburgh, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 8th, 2016 at 2:45 pm at home in the presence of family. He was born on May 14th, 1976 in Newburgh, NY at St Luke’s Hospital. The son of George Washington Harding Sr. and Colleen Darcia Green both of Newburgh, N.Y. He attended Newburgh Free Academy and graduated in June of 1993. George was a young, hard –working man who loved his family and friends. George is survived by his parents: George Washington Harding Sr. and Colleen Darcia Green, both of Newburgh N.Y., maternal grandmother Ida Green of New Windsor, N.Y., Aunts: Elizabeth A. Green (Samuel ) New Windsor, NY, Karen Green of Newburgh, NY , Sharon Morganfield of Killeen, TX , Belinda Peterson (Richard) of Newburgh, NY , Rev. Leslie Green of New Windsor, NY and Pastor Angela Green of New Windsor, NY. Uncles: Robert S. Harding (Sylvia) of New Windsor, NY and Richard King of Newburgh, NY, Great Aunts: Pauline Dillard (Curly) of Newburgh, NY, Nancy Robinson (Rev. David Robinson) of Newburgh, NY, Morlene Hardy (Harlem, NY) and Mildred Terry (Weldon, NC) . Great Uncles; John Marshall of Newburgh, NY, Clarence Green of Newburgh, NY. He also leave behind a host of cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather: Irvine Green and paternal grandparents, Robert L. Harding and Annie Mae Harding. Visitation will be held from 10am - 11 am on Friday, April 15 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, with a service following at 11am, Pastor Harold Brown officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh
