Constance "Connie" Goodrich Koning - Class of 1963

    Constance “Connie” Goodrich Koning, a lifetime resident of Newburgh, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. She was 72. Daughter of the late Edward and Lillian (Carson) Goodrich, she was born April 25, 1944 in Newburgh. She married Edward Koning in 1979 in Newburgh. Ed survives at home. Connie was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy and was a retired Nurses Aid for St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the VFW and the Women’s Auxiliary of Good-Will Fire Dept. She will sadly be missed by everyone she has touched. She will be forever loved and in our hearts always. Survivors include her husband Edward Koning of Newburgh; her sister Janice Smallwood of Marlboro; nieces and nephews Louise Smallwood, Joe Smallwood and Debbie Zenick; two great-nieces, one great-nephew; three great-great nieces; and many cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Edward Goodrich, Jr. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Monday, May 2 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Connie’s name may be sent to the Hudson Valley SPCA, 940 Little Britain Rd., New Windsor, NY 12553; or a charity of one’s choice.
