Robert F. Roe - The calm reprieve of death was granted to Robert Fullerton Roe on May 17, 2016. Born in Newburgh, NY on September 5, 1931, he was the husband of E. Grace Roe, deceased, and the father of Edward Charles Roe and James Peter Roe and his wife, Sabrina Anne Roe, grandfather of Jeanine Dea Roe, James Joseph Roe and Jonathan Robert Roe. His companion, Ms. Doris Bleicher survives him as well, in addition to several nieces and nephews. Rob received his primary education within the Newburgh School District and graduated from Newburgh Free Academy, Class of 1949. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and served in assignments in the United States and Europe as well. Rob graduated from Orange County Community College, AAS; New York Institute of Technology, BS Community Mental Health Psychology; Long Island University, MS Ed. Community Health Counseling; Marist College, MS Public Administration, Public Sector Labor Studies Certificate, Cornell University; Post Graduate courses at SUNY Albany. Rob was an Ordained Elder, Bethlehem Presbyterian Church; Life Member Free and Accepted Masons - Corner Stone Lodge, Monroe, NY; Past President - Men's Club, Bethlehem Presbyterian Church; member of Boy Scouts of America for 30 years; Committee Chair and Unit Representative Troop 118 BSA, Cornwall, NY. Rob and his wife owned and operated Grace's Lunch in Newburgh, NY for several years. He began his career with the Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities in 1984 and was employed until his retirement in April, 2004. His responsibilities were varied and he provided consistent support to those whom he worked with. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions on Rob's behalf would be deeply appreciated and may be sent to the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 1520 Route 94, New Windsor, NY 12553 or the Boy Scouts of America. There will be no visitation. Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope, NY. A Funeral Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 23rd, at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow the service at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Arrangements are by Richard J. Sullivan and Kevin Quigley of Quigley Bros.
