Mr. Ramon A. Cacossa, age 75, of Westford, MA, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016, at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center (Lahey Clinic), with his beloved family by his side. He was born in Newburgh, NY, on November 4, 1940, a son of the late Ramon Antonio and Esther Sassi Cacossa. He was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy, Clarkson University (BSEE), Syracuse University (MSEE) and his Post Grad at MIT. He was married to Esther Malozzi on November 25, 1965, in Utica, a blessed union of 50 years. Ramon was an Electrical Engineer and Businessman. His career spanned many years with such companies as the Northrup Co., GE Astrospace, GE Aerospace, Lockeed-Sanders, BOSE, Xyple, Juniper Networks and Cacossa Engineering from which he retired. Ramon was most proud of his two handed transatlantic sail from (Boston to England) in 26 days in a 32 foot sloop. He was a member of the Winthrop Yacht Club, Winthrop, MA, and the National Assoc. of Amateur Radio. Surviving are his beloved wife, Esther; his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Joseph Shine, of TX; two cherished grandchildren, Joseph F. Shine, IV, and Alessandra N. Shine; one brother, Dante Cacossa, of CA; two brothers-in-law, Alex Malozzi and Bob Rowe; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Niccolo Cacossa; his sister, Cheri Farnham and husband, Paul; and in-laws, Lucille and Erwin Hughes, Lena Rowe, Eleanor Sitrin and Virginia Malozzi. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Committal Services on Thursday, June 30, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro, NY, with the Rev.
