Tanesha Nicole Evans, a homemaker and resident of Newburgh, entered into rest on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. She was 24. The daughter of Nancy Moffett and Andrew Evans III, she was born April 15, 1985 in Newburgh. Tanesha attended the Newburgh Free Academy and was a participant of the ROTC program. Survivors include her daughters, Odasia and Tamar Evans, Amya and Tanesha Hannigan; maternal grandmother Naomi Moffett Harrington of Newburgh; paternal grandmother, Velma Evans of West Virginia; sister Thomasina Evans; two brothers Andrew Evans, Jr. and David Evans; special friend Felix Hannigan; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her great-grandparents, Maggeline and Willie Haven Whitted, and maternal grandfather, James Harrington. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday September 17 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 20 Briggs Way, Newburgh. Services will be at 11 a.m. at the church with The Rev. Nelson McAllister officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Middlehope. Arrangements entrusted to Rhodes Funeral Homes 259 Walsh Ave. New Windsor, NY
