Roberta Jean Conklin Sherman - Class of 1959

    Roberta Jean Conklin Sherman of Slate Hill, NY, passed away on Saturday, September the 3rd 2016 at Elant in Goshen. Born July 27th, 1941 in Warwick NY to the late Wilbur Daniel and Helen Irene Conklin. She was retired from Arbys in Middletown. She was a former EMT/Driver and Life Member of the Town of Newburgh Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Her love of Crocheting, Quilting, and all things needlework were welcomed by family and friends during Birthdays and Christmas for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Hill, and her husband, Paul, of Montgomery; and her son, Don Sherman, and his long time companion, Bonnie Corter, of Slate Hill; her grandchildren; and step grandchildren: Erin, Abigail, Matthew, Bobby, John, Addison, Blaze, Ashley, and Morgan. She was also affectionately known as "Grandma Robo" to Alexis, Alexandria, Jace, and Timothy. She is further survived by her Brother, Edwin Conklin and his children; Tami, Mike, Mark, and Tony and their respective families. She also leaves behind her fur baby and constant companion, her cat, Boo. Friends are invited to call 10 to 12 p.m., with service at 11, on Saturday, September 10th at Morse Funeral Home Inc. 33 Railroad Ave. Middletown, NY. The family will be receiving guests immediately following the service at the New Hampton Fire Department social hall, 5024 Rt 17m, New Hampton. The family requests donations, in lieu of flowers, be made to either the Town of Newburgh Emergency Medical Services (Formerly TONVAC) or to the New Hampton Fire Department.
