William Mahood - Class of 1954

    William "Bill" J. Mahood, 80 of Brooksville passed away peacefully at his home on September 5, 2016. He was born in Newburgh, New York to the parents of Mae and Walter Mahood. After Bill and Sally wed in 1957, they moved to Florida in 1973. He began his business of selling new and used cars and auto parts, and built his family home in Brooksville in 1978 with the help of his father. He was an active member of his church, New Testament Baptist in Floral City. He enjoyed woodworking and was a car enthusiast. He was always willing to help others and constantly had a positive outlook on life. His kind smile will always be remembered. He is survived by his wife, Sally Mahood; son: Jeffrey Mahood; Granddaugter: Tiffany McKnight (Raymond); Great-Granddaughter Melia McKnight. Also survived by his brother, Richard Mahood; cousins, Raymond Green and Madelyn Offutt; loving family and friends.
