Claire A. Deima Kaluczky, longtime resident of Newburgh, NY and beloved Mother, Brother and Aunt died on October 2, 2016 at St. Lukes Hospital in Newburgh, NY. She was 73 years old. Daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Gekakis) Deima. She was born in Newburgh, NY. Claire was a loving caring soul, extremely generous to all. She never stopped giving and caring and looked for nothing in return. “We Love you and will always miss you” Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Employed as a civilian in 1962, she began her career serving the United States Army, and for the next 41 years did so in the true fashion of “Duty, Honor, Country”. In 1981, Claire accepted the position as The Executive Administrative Assistant to the Commandant of Cadets at The United States Military Academy at West Point. During her career she received numerous awards in recognition of her exceptional performance and service. Upon her retirement in 1993, after having served 11 up and coming US Army Generals as Commandants, she was bestowed an official Meritorious Civilian Service Award from the Department of the United States Army, depicting her years of service from 1962 to 2003. “Duty, Honor, Country” She is survived by her son Scott Kaluczky of Norwalk, CT., her brother Robert Deima of Bolton Landing, NY, her nieces Eve Deima, Kelsey Deima and Brooke Parra; her nephew Robert Deima Jr., as well as several cousins in a large extended family and our beloved Aunt Ann “Nancy” Gekakis of Middlehope. A memorial service has been arranged by Brooks Funeral Home and will be held on Friday October 7, 2016 from 4 pm until 8 pm at their facility at 481 Gidney Ave. Newburgh, NY.
