Richard Frank Zgrodek - Class of 1966

        Richard Frank Zgrodek, 68, of Otisville, NY, passed away Wednesday, October 5th, at his residence. Richard was born in Newburgh, NY on July 10, 1948, a son of the late Delia (Loguidice) Zgrodek and Frank Zgrodek. He was the husband of Linda J. (Barnes) Zgrodek for 49 Years. He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Otisville, NY. Richard served in the U.S. Army as a Tech Sgt. in the Vietnam War. He retired as Manager at Rock Hill Trading Post, Rock Hill, NY after 37 years. Richard was a member of Town of Mt. Hope VFW Post 5497, DAV Chapter 212, and Middletown American Legion Post 151; was Planning Board Chairman, served on the Zoning Review Committee, and Building Inspector Clerk for the Village of Otisville, NY, and supported the Mt. Hope Seniors. Richard is survived by his loving wife at home; his daughter, Tammy, wife of Christopher Jones of Independance, MO; a son, Christopher, husband of Amanda Zgrodek of Glen Spey; and his grandchildren, Lindsay Zgrodek, Evan Zgrodek, Felicia Walter, Alex Zgrodek; and great granddaughter, Saphira Zgrodek. He is also survived by two sisters, Leonora Zgrodek of Newburgh, NY, and Mary Frances, wife of Manuel Pardivilla of Newburgh, NY. He is further survived by several cousins. Friends are invited to call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11th at Morse Funeral Home Inc. in Middletown, NY.
