Everett Correa, 75, a native of Newburgh NY and Fort Lauderdale Florida passed away peacefully surrounded in the afternoon on Sunday, August 14, 2016. Everett was born in Manhattan, NY on October 16th 1940. He is the son of Antonia Valesqez and Felix Correa Senior. Everett is predeceased by his brothers, Gilbert & Felix Correa and his sons, Everett & Patrick Correa. Everett was a devout catholic, a proud supporter of the 2nd amendment and avid NRA member. Everett had a great sense of humor and loved joking around about politics or the latest episode of the Walking Dead. Everett worked for 30+ years at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale and was beloved member of its staff. Everett enjoyed flying and some of the fondest memories he would share were of when he and his brother flew under the George Washington bridge as kids. Everett is survived by his former wife, Joan Marie DiMarco and daughters, Selina Ann Correa Gross from Newport Rhode Island, Katina Marie DeRosa and her husband, Anthony DeRosa from Middletown, NY; daughter in law, Nadine Correa of Campbell Hall, NY; and grandchildren: Gina Gross, Jessica Correa, Thomas Correa, Tyler Correa, Zachary Gross, Veronica Correa, Emma DeRosa, Hannah DeRosa. In lieu of a traditional service, Everett has requested a small memorial service on his behalf to be held this Fall at lake Minnewaska, NY.
