Albert Richard McPhillips - Class of 1948

      Albert Richard McPhillips, of Montgomery, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 11, 2016. He was 85. Son of the late William and Edna (Moore) McPhillips, he was born March 25, 1931 in Cornwall. Albert proudly served his country in the US Navy. He worked as a Sales Manager for TFL Transport in North Bergen, NJ, and was a member of the Softball Hall of Fame. He is survived by his wife, Josephine (Scotto) McPhillips, at home; his children, MaryAnn Barnhart and her husband Ronald of Montgomery and Bill and his wife Pamm of Wallkill; his brother William McPhillips and his wife Eda of New Windsor; his sister Joan Schoonmaker of Plattekill; eight grandchildren, Billy Jr., Shawn, Jeremy, Brooke, Jamie, David, Ryan and Marisa; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Jack McPhillips.Visitation will be held from 2-5pm on Sunday, October 16 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Monday, October 17 at Our Lady of the Lake Parish, Newburgh, with burial following in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.
