Marlene Frances Frost Collins - My sister Marlene of the NFA Class of 1959, passed away peacefully in her home in Dayton, Tn. She is survived by her husband, Ned, 3 sons, a sister and 2 brothers. I (Bob Frost) was a grad of NFA in 1961. Marlene Frances Frost Collins, 73, of Dayton Mountain, Tennessee, died Monday July 11, 2016 at her home. She was born July 26, 1942 in Middletown, NY to the late Francis and Antoinette (Lupo) Frost. She was a member of the Cedar Ridge Seventh Day Adventist Church in Georgetown, TN. She retired as a registered nurse after a career of 38+ years serving others at New England Memorial Hospital in Stoneham, MA, as well as St. Joseph’s Hospital in Asheville, NC. Marlene also served as the president of the New England IV Therapy Association for a number of years. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ned Collins; her sons Jeff Collins of Dayton, Shawn (Beverly) Collins of Mills River, NC and David (Sharon) Collins of Cleveland; grandchildren, Ryan, Alex, Kathryn, Noah and Kendall; sister, Elaine Velez of Arden, NC; and brothers, Robert (Katy) Frost of Greeneville, TN and Francis (Wanda) Frost of Cleveland, GA. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 18 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Robert Deforest officiating. She will be laid to rest in Rhea Memory Gardens. The family is being cared for by the Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton where they will receive friends before the funeral.
