Raffaella “Lella” Pietrobuono Castrovinci - Class of 1972

    Raffaella “Lella” Pietrobuono Castrovinci, of New Windsor, a 50-year area resident, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. She was 63. Daughter of the late Geraldo and Gina Pietrobuono, she was born January 13, 1953 in Fondi, Italy. Raffaella was graduate of SUNY New Paltz and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. She was a dedicated mother and wife who loved unconditionally and never lost hope. “Of all the forces that make for a better world, none is so powerful as hope. With hope, one can think, one can work, one can dream. If you have hope, you have everything”. Raffaella is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Alfredo Castrovinci, at home; children, Marianna Castrovinci and Antonio Castrovinci; and daughter-in-law Jennifer Castrovinci. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her two sisters, Angela and Katherine Pietrobuono. Visitation will be held from 2-5pm on Sunday, October 16 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Monday, October 17 at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh, with burial following in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
