Patrick Joseph O’Shea, of Newburgh, passed away on December 2, 2016. He was 70. The son of Helen (Vandermark) O'Shea and the late Patrick O’Shea, he was born June 30, 1946 in Newburgh. Patrick was a 1965 graduate of Newburgh Free Academy, and proudly served our country in the US Army, First Calvary Infantry in Vietnam. He was an Iron Worker and lifetime member of Local 417. Survivors include his mother, Helen O'Shea; his son, Patrick J. O’Shea III; brothers Kevin O’Shea and Richard O’Shea; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two sisters, Karen O’Shea and Colleen O’Shea McFarland. A very special thank you to Patrick's good friends, Yogi, Judy, and John Victor. Visitation will be held from 11 am – 12:30 pm on Wednesday, December 7 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh, with a service following at 12:30. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
