    Rudolph Droppa of Newburgh, entered into rest on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the age of 88. He was born on June 1,1928 to the late Ardod Droppa and Anna Medla in N.Y.C., NY. Rudolph served his country in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Grand Canyon and was a graduate of Syracuse University and retired from Mt. Ellis Paper Company. His loving survivors include one son, David Droppa of Spring Valley; three daughters: Heidi Droppa-Turner and her husband, Jay of the Town of Newburgh, Aimee Holmes and her companion, Paul Squires of Wallkill, Lori Hansen and her husband, Eric of Gardiner; two step-sisters, Anna Furey of N.Y.C., Irma Konklan of Maryland; 14 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and his beloved dog, Oakley. Rudolph was a past member of Dan Leghorn Fire Department, life member of V.F.W., D.A.V. and American Legion. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13 at Doulin Newburgh Funeral Home Inc., 318 N. Montgomery St., Newburgh, NY 12550. A private cremation will follow.
