Anthony J. Madrick, "Tony" 67, of Latham, beloved husband of Mary Lou Sapp, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, with his family by his side at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's in Albany. Born in Newburgh, N.Y. on July 2, 1949, he was the son of the late Steven and Stella (Glovatski) Madrick. Tony was married to the former Mary Lou Sapp on June 10, 1972, and the two shared a blessed union of almost 45 years prior to his passing. Tony was employed at Benet Labs at the Watervliet Arsenal as a Financial Analyst, retiring in 2013 after 38 years of dedicated service. Tony enjoyed the game of golf and landscaping his home but foremost he was a true family man, his family was the most important part of his life especially the time he spent with his granddaughters. In addition to his beloved wife; he is survived by his loving children, Christopher A. Madrick of Latham and Jennifer (Michael) Mathieu of Shrewbury, Mass.; his two adored granddaughters, Avery Grace and Olivia Reese Mathieu; as well as his brothers, Steve (Barbara) Madrick of Florida and Frank (Sylvia) Madrick of California. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday January 1, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. in the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Memorial services for Tony will be celebrated on Monday, January 2, 2017, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham, with Father Geoffrey Burke officiating.
