Cleveland Best Jr., 72, born on August 1, 1944, long-time resident of
Middletown, NY, died suddenly and peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2017. Rev.
Cleveland (T-June) Best Jr., will be remembered as one who always cared for 'the
least of these.' His giving heart, desire to help any and all he could, the love
for his family and his music will forever be his legacy and memory. He leaves to
celebrate the memory of his life a son, Steven Billups of Brooklyn, NY; four
daughters, Kimberly Johnson of Charlotte, NC, Carita Hill-Stoney (Eddie) of Far
Rockaway, NY. Shanelle White and Chauntel Best of Middletown, NY; 15
grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, cousins
and friends. Rev. Cleveland Best Jr., was predeceased by his parents, Cleveland
and Novella Best; and daughter, Yolanda Bryant. Rev. Best will repose 4 to 6
p.m. Monday, January 16, 2017 at The Cathedral at the House of Refuge, 127-131
Broadway, Newburgh, NY. Funeral service at 6 p.m. at the church. Rev. Eugene
Jones will officiate. Interment with Full Military Honors, 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan-uary
17, 2017 at Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road,
Goshen, NY. Professional service entrusted to Rhodes Funeral Home, 259 Walsh
