Mark E. Mitchell, of Newburgh, Lead Technical Programmer for United Parcel Service and a lifetime area resident, entered into rest on January 21, 2017. He was 64. The son of the late Betty Partington, he was born October 7, 1952 in Newburgh. He married Sharon (Craig) Mitchell on September 28, 1974 in New Windsor. Sharon survives at home. Mark proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1971-1975. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, and he will be dearly missed. In addition to his loving wife Sharon, he is survived by his children, Karissa Viglietta of Newburgh, Sarah Crespo and her husband Benny of Springfield, MA, Matthew Mitchell and his wife Kayla of Newburgh and Zachary Mitchell of Newburgh; his brother James Mitchell of Hyde Park; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Kathy and Kris Salsby; 6 grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, January 25 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A service with military honors will be held at 7:30 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
