Boice Henry Wheeler Jr., "Buttons" went home to be with the Lord at St. Luke's Hospital on January 27, 2017. He was born on January 28, 1956 in Newburgh, NY to the late Boice Wheeler Sr. and Anna Mae Walker-Wheeler. He graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1974. He worked as an excavator and in construction demolishing buildings throughout NY. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories, his wife, Gwendolyn T. Gray-Wheeler of New Windsor, NY, children: Brittany Edmondson (Vance) of Schenectady, NY, Takeenia Eggelston (Jaquan) of Colorado Springs, CO, LaGuardia Clegg of Buffalo, NY, Timmia Perry of Beacon, NY, and Trevon Gray (Judy) of Quantico, VA; Siblings: Joseph Wheeler of Newburgh, NY, Kevin Wheeler (Heather) of Ellenville, NY, Ronald Combs of Baltimore, MD, Keith Harris of NJ, Michelle Richards (Dennis) of Newburgh, NY, and Rachel Murphy-Davis (Barry) of Scotchtown, NY; 10 grandchildren, Uncle John Wheeler and companion, Hanna Thompson, special niece Nichole Wheeler of Newburgh, NY, and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by siblings; Louisa Mae McNeil, Laiunia Marie Wheeler, Kim Daphney, Lamont and David Wheeler. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 10-11am at New Hope Baptist Church, 20 Mill St., Newburgh, NY 12550, with a funeral service beginning at 11am. Bishop Audrey E.
