Olson Bagdonas, a life-long resident of Newburgh entered into rest at home, Monday, April 3, 2017 at the age of 93. Daughter of the late Fred and Ethel (Coddington) Olson , Ruth was born June 21, 1923 in Newburgh. Ruth was a 70 year member of the Gardnertown United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful homemaker and baker. We all looked forward to her yearly Christmas cookies. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles and up until a couple of years ago she loved to crochet. She was an avid jeopardy watcher and loved color and shop on QVC. She is survived by her two daughters: Diane Greeney and husband, William of New Windsor, Joanne Calli and husband, Robert of the Town of Montgomery; three grandchildren who knew her as "Nammy": John Greeney and wife, Jessica of Poughkeepsie, Gina Calli of New Paltz and Kristen Calli of the Town Montgomery, two great-grandchildren: Abigail and Lucas Greeney. Ruth was one of three children. She was predeceased by her sister; Vera Wilson and Edna Inzerra. She was the widow of Edward Bagdonas who predeceased her in 2015 at the age of 95. Visitation will take place Friday, April 7th from 4 to 7 p.m at White, Venuto & Morrill Funeral and Service, 188 North Plank Rd., (Rte 32) Newburgh. Funeral service will commence 10 a.m. Saturday April 8th at Gardnertown United Methodist Church, Union Ave., Newburgh. Minister Steve Sherwood will officiate. Burial to follow in Gardnertown Cemetery.
