Philip Cannizzaro formerly of Newburgh passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown. He was 84 years old. Philip was the son of the late Frank & Elizabeth Calabria Cannizzaro. He was born in Newburgh, NY on May 17, 1932. He married Marian Fillagran who predeceased him on April 8, 1997. Philip was a United States Navy veteran serving during Korea. He was an Industrial Mechanic working for Stauffer Chemical, Newburgh, NY before retiring. He loved woodworking and carpentry. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer K. Cannizzaro and her husband Benny D. Hatton, Jr. of Newburgh and Jill K. Buckley and her husband Kevin J. Buckley of Milford, PA, his sister Nettie Albertson and her husband Robert of Mesa, AZ , his grandchildren, Gabrielle Elizabeth Buckley and Gavin Phillip Buckley and many nieces and nephews. Philip was predeceased by his brother Salvatore Cannizzaro. Graveside services will be held on Monday morning at 11am at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5468 Route 9W North, Newburgh with Pastor Jody Spiak offiating.
