Michael P. Flannery - Class of 1971

        Michael P. Flannery of the Town of Newburgh, a purchasing agent for Keller Army Hospital at West Point entered into rest unexpectedly Thursday, June 8, 2017 at his home. He was 64. The son of the late John Gordon and Mary Jane (Beers) Flannery, Michael was born November 19, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, graduated from NFA and Marist College. Michael was a devoted father and grandfather. Survivors include his loving children: Meghan Carrasquillo and her husband, George, M. Patrick Flannery and his wife, Tippie, Kevin Flannery; his cat kids, Benny and Gabby; brothers, Dennis Flannery, Jerome Flannery; sisters, Patricia Shubert, Karen Ward and her husband, Brian; beloved grandchildren: Giavonna, Kassidy, Brayden and his grand dog, Princess; He also survived by his uncle, David Flannery; aunt, Kathleen Foerster; nieces, nephews; and his best friend, Barbara McGorman. In addition to his parents, Michael was predeceased by his brothers; Mark Flannery and Timothy Flannery. Visitation for family and friends will take place from Tuesday, June 13th from 4 to 7 p.m. at White, Venuto & Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 North Plank Rd. (Route 32) Town of Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 14th at Our Lady of the Lake Chapel, 433 South Plank Rd. (Route 52 - Orange Lake) Town of Newburgh. Cremation will follow the Mass at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Inturnment will take place at a time convenient to the family at Cedar Hill Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers kindly make donations in Michael's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital ( www.stjude.org/memorial ) or the Ronald McDonald House ( www.rmhc.org/donate )
