Elizabeth “Betty” Megyesi Cusa, 87, of Highland, NY passed away at Vassar
Brothers Hospital on August 13, 2017. Betty was born to John and Leona (Conyea)
Megyesi in Roseton, NY on April 18, 1930 and had six siblings who predeceased
her. On March 25, 1950, Betty was married to her beloved husband, Frank, who
died in June 1997. She leaves behind her beloved children, Diane of Highland, NY
and Frank and his wife, Michelle, of Davenport, Florida. Betty will be greatly
missed by her many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends who
remember Betty for her feistiness and playful sense of humor. Betty enjoyed
being taken on local “road trips’ to go out for ice cream, and loved sitting on
her front porch and being out in her yard. She especially enjoyed the daily
companionship of her furry four-legged babies, Snoopy and Gypsy, who are
mourning her loss. Betty did office work for several companies throughout her
life, and for many years worked side by side with her dear friend, Barbara
Marshall.Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the DiDonato
Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
offered on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 55 Main Street,
Highland. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Poughkeepsie. In lieu of
flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St.
Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online www.stjude.org Funeral arrangements were
