Catherine P. Anderson April 9, 1938-August 30, 2017 Newburgh, NY Catherine Anderson passed away on August 30, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh, NY. She was 79 years old. Daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Lizotte, she was born in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Canada on April 9, 1938. Cathy attended Newburgh schools and graduated from Newburgh Free Academy. She retired in 1998, after working for the Newburgh Enlarged City School District as a teacher aide for 31 years. She was a life member of Newburgh Area Retired Teachers Assn (NARTA) and Winona Lake Firehouse Ladies Auxiliary. Cathy was a loving mother, aunt, sister, niece, cousin and loyal friend to many. She lived life to the fullest and never missed a party. "Remember me when you dance to your favorite song, Remember me as you pass the wine along, Remember me--I loved you all, Please don't weep for me-I had a ball!" Cathy is survived by her devoted daughter, Michelle Anderson (Tony), sister Linda Greene (Warren), brothers Fred Lizotte (Lois) and Pete Pelletier, sister-in-law Laura Wiesenthal (Ed), brother-in-law Ray Anderson (Sharon) and special friend Bernadette Saladino and her children Ashley and John; her beloved nieces and their families, Jann Hecht, Jill Hicks, Dana Romer and Dawn Jack. Cathy also leaves many family members and friends who will miss her. In addition to her parents, Cathy was predeceased by her husband, Harold Anderson (1997) and son, Lance Anderson (2015); brothers, Albert and Steven Lizotte, sister, Theresa Wright; and longtime friend Beverly Davidson. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, September 6 at Doulin Newburgh Funeral Home Inc, 318 N. Montgomery St, Newburgh, NY 12550.
