Ina Hazard Wissmiller , 98, formerly of Glen Ellyn, passed away on September 21, 2017. Born March 16, 1919, in Union Hill, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Calvin and Hazel (Woolmington) Hazard. She graduated in 1937 from Newburgh Free Academy High School in Newburgh, New York. Ina was a faithful and active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn, where, for many years, she organized and chaired the committee that created the Living Creche. Before moving to Glen Ellyn in 1963, she was a member of the Morgan Park Presbyterian Church. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Chapter AU of PEO, a philanthropic educational organization. Ina was preceded in death by her husband Lee and step-daughter Jane Curry. She is survived by her sons George (Siping) Wissmiller and Paul (Carolyn) Wissmiller, and step-daughter Janet (Richard) Wangrow. She was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. We will miss her deeply. A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn on September 30, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.
