Barbara Nunez Stillman - Class of 1952

  Barbara A. Nunez Stillman, of Plattekill and formerly of the Town of Newburgh, a retired secretary at Stewart Air Force Base at Stewart Field, entered into eternal rest at home with family at her side on Wednesday, November 08, 2017 at the age of 82. The daughter of the late Gumersindo and Rose (Delarede) Nunez, Barbara was born on December 29, 1934 in Newburgh, NY. She was married to Paul G. Stillman, who predeceased her in 2008. She was a life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Walden and along with her husband, Paul, they were integral participants in the formation of the Town of Newburgh Little League. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother- She was everyone's rock….she will be missed deeply. Her first dance was with Jesus - we are sure she is dancing with Dad now. Barbara’s family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties for the care given to Mom. Barbara is survived by her children, Andrea Rose Overton and her husband, Daniel of Plattekill, Mark George Stillman and his wife, Tracey of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl, Carl Dean Stillman and his wife, Kathleen of Pine Bush and David Paul Stillman and his wife, Debra of Newburgh; grandchildren, Matthew, Tamara, Talia, Timothy, Lindsay, Kristen, Zachary, Samantha, Erica and Greg; great-grandchildren, Chloe and Abigail; her sister, Dolores Nunez Labrenz and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends are invited from 2-4pm on Sunday, November 12, Trinity Lutheran Church, 2520 Rt. 208, Walden, NY 12586. A Funeral Service In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to either Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc., 800 Stony Brook Ct, Newburgh, NY 12550 or to Trinity Lutheran Church, 2520 Rt. 208, Walden, NY 12586.
