Russell Peter Snyder, 53 of Wappingers Falls, proprietor of Russ Snyder
Consulting, entered into rest on November 19, 2017. The son of Frank H. and
Marlene M. (Price) Snyder, he was born July 28, 1964 in Newburgh, and baptized
at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Newburgh. Russ was a kind and loving son,
brother, and friend. He liked spending time on his boat on Candlewood Lake and
hiking with friends and his beloved dog Archie. He was also an avid reader and
enjoyed history and politics. He graduated from NFA in 1982 and went into the
Navy straight out of high school. He enlisted for four years and then went to
Bloomberg University to study Finance. He eventually started his own business as
a financial advisor. Russ will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and
associates. In addition to his parents, Russ is survived by his siblings:
Kathleen A. McDonough of Honolulu and Robin M. Allen and her husband Sam of
Wilmington, NC; nephews: Thomas B. McDonough, US Air Force, Tucson, AZ and Sean
P. McDonough of Honolulu; and great niece: Christina McDonough of Tucson, AZ.
Memorial visitation and services will be held from 1-3 pm on Saturday, December
16 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. In lieu of flowers
memorial donations may be made to SPCA of Westchester, 590 North State Rd.,
Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510.
