Charles B. Ostrander, 80 of Englewood, FL died March 17, 2010. He was predeceased by his first wife, Gertrude A. Viggers. They were married for 53 years. Charles was born 18 July 1929 in Newburgh, NY to Margaret Jackson and Charles P. Ostrander. He came to Englewood 20 years ago from Sarasota where he was a Condo Manager. He was a Retired M/Sgt, U.S. Army. He was a veteran of three wars and retired in 1966 after 22 years of service. He is survived by his present wife, Carol (Boughton) Ostrander of Englewood; daughter, Charlane Valade of Springfield, MO; son, Michael Ostrander of Englewood; two granddaughters, one grandson and one great grandson; three sisters, Peggy of Arizona, Ida May of New York and Jean of Georgia; brother, Jackson of New York; step daughter and stepson in law, Peter and Patty Wolff and their children, Kate and Martin. He was predeceased by his brother, Alson. There will be no services.
