Joanne M. Gozza Konrad - Class of 1965

         Joanne M. Gozza Konrad, 70 of Thompson Ridge, NY entered into rest on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was born on April 26, 1947 in Newburgh, NY, to the late Ralph Gozza and Josephine Maniscalco Gozza. Joanne is predeceased by her husband, John C. Konrad. Joanne and John were high school sweethearts, who were married for 48 years and together for 54 years. Throughout her life, Joanne enjoyed a successful career in advertising; she worked for the Evening News and WGNY radio. For the last 17 years, Joanne proudly worked at Pine Bush High School, as the Front Desk Monitor. Joanne loved her job and adored the kids she worked with. Joanne was extremely family oriented and took great pride in her children and grandchildren. Over the years, she acquired several names which include: Mom, Ma, B-Ma, Grandma, Nana, and Gigi. She is survived by her children; Suzanne Paffenroth, and husband, Tim Paffenroth, John V. Konrad, Jennifer Terzini, and her husband, Michael Terzini. Grandchildren; Nikole Konrad - Zdatny, her husband, Luke Zdatny, Kaylee Konrad, John M. Konrad, and Thomas Paffenroth. Great grandchildren; LJ Zdatny, and Zander Zdatny. Joanne also leaves behind her younger brother, Ralph Gozza, his wife, Kathy Gozza and their two children, Kara Gozza and Stacey Gozza, as well as her sister in law, Barbara Booth and her husband, Bill Booth. Joanne will be missed by her extended family and dear friends. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 10am St. Paul's Church in Bullville, NY. Cremation will take place at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Joanne's favorite charities, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, and Hospice.
