Gary A. Gillespie, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Saturday,
January 20, 2018. He was 63. Son of Robert Gillespie Sr. and the late Ethel
(Morley) Gillespie, he was born on August 24, 1954 in Newburgh, NY. Gary, a
lifelong area resident was the owner and operator of Gillespie and Sons, Inc. in
Newburgh. Survivors include his father, Robert Gillespie, Sr. of Newburgh; his
companion, Carol Lockwood of Newburgh; one son, Jason M. Gillespie and his wife
Jodi of Wallkill; one brother Robert Gillespie, Jr. of Wallkill and former
spouse Bernadette Gillespie of Walden. He was predeceased by his mother Ethel
Gillespie and one brother, William Gillespie. A private cremation took place at
Cedar Hill Crematory. Memorial Visitation to celebrate Gary's life will take
place on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at White, Venuto &
Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 North Plank Road (Rt.32), Newburgh,
NY. In lieu of flowers donations are asked to Town of Newburgh Emergency Medical
Services, Inc., 97 S. Plank Rd., Newburgh, NY 12550 or
