Julius Herbert Robinson - Class of 1991

      Julius Herbert Robinson, Jr. was born on June 10, 1973 in Newburgh, New York. He departed this earthly life on Monday, January 22, 2018. He was the son of the late Julius Herbert Robinson, Sr. and Patricia A. Robinson. "So, So, Easy to Love" He was 44 years old. He was baptized at an early age at Mount Carmel Church of Christ. There he served as Junior Superintendent and a faithful Sunday school student. Julius graduated in 1991 from Newburgh Free Academy. Shortly thereafter, he joined the United States Army where he served his country as an Armor Crewman. While serving, he received the Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon. After completing his four year tour of duty, he enrolled in the Apprenticeship Degree Program of Local Union 373 where he became a very skilled plumber. He worked for the Local 373 for nearly 16 years. He was most recently employed by Newburgh Enlarged City School District as a plumber. Julius was a very hard worker and strived to do his best. He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his wife Rita; two lovely children, Rita Symone and Julius Osyris of the home; his beloved mother, Patricia A. Robinson of Fayetteville, North Carolina; three sisters: Donyell Dawson (Robert) of Raeford, NC, Elder Brenda Robinson of Newburgh, and Jacqueline Robinson of Albany, NY, God-Sister, Carol McQueen of Newburgh and his grandmother, Jepha Johnson of Fayetteville, NC. A host of special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends also survive. He was predeceased by his father, Julius Herbert Robinson, Sr. and his sister, Eunice Mozell Garner. Mr. Robinson will lay in repose from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 30 at Mt. Carmel Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, 1524 Route 300, Newburgh, NY. Service starts at 7 p.m. at the church. Elder Thermond E. Herring will officiate. Interment will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 31 at Cedar Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
