John Ziobro - NFA Teacher

   John N. Ziobro, 80, of Goshen, died Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. John was born October 4, 1937 in Florida, NY, the son of the late Stanley Ziobro and the late Tessie (Grzywaczewski) Ziobro. He retired from the Newburgh City School District, Newburgh, NY as a Physical Education Teacher. He was proud to be the 1st Varsity Soccer Coach for Newburgh and a Soccer All American for Ithaca College in 1961. He was also inducted into the Florida High School Hall of Fame. He pitched two no hitters in fast pitch softball, bowled a 299, and shot a trophy 11 point buck. Most important of all he was a devoted husband, great father and grandfather who loved his family. He is survived by his wife: Eve Ziobro at home; daughter, Laura Rodstrom and husband Dan of Furlong, PA and son, John Ziobro and wife Tina of Westtown, NY; sisters, Frances Weeks of Elgin, IL and Theresa Park of Framingham, MA; four grandchildren, Nicholas and Michael Rodstrom and Gabriella and John Ziobro; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 1 to 4 PM and Monday, February 12 from 9 to 9:30 am at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am on Monday, February 12, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY. Burial will be private with the family.
