He was assigned to C Company 5th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. In Korea Manny was assigned to Expert Trained Infantry. Manny's war buddies said although the cadre were tough, Manny was tougher. He was considered to be the Platoon Hero. He was asked to join the rifle team and traveled around the world with them. He retired from IBM Fishkill as an Engineer Technician, and also worked for Local 17 for 15 years. He will be remembered as a loyal and true friend to all, always with a smile on his face and a story to tell. He enjoyed playing cards, but most of all enjoyed being with his family.
