Anne E. Wanko, 65,
of Schenevus, NY ~ Formerly of Newburgh, NY passed away January 30, 2018 at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, NY. The daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Evans) Tucker, she was born October 8, 1952 in Cornwall. Anne was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy. She worked for the Newburgh Evening News, Northstar Bank Trust Co., Sylcox Nursing Home, and retired as a receptionist for Otsego County. Anne enjoyed camping and fishing with her family, and sewing quilts. She was a past member of The Church of the Good Shepherd, Newburgh. Survivors include her husband, Steven Wanko; her children, Matthew Wanko of Liverpool, NY and Ethan Wanko of Oneonta, NY; siblings, Sharon Velez of Macon, GA and John Tucker of Newburgh, NY; aunts: Doris MacDowell, Betty Evans and Barbara Pelli; nieces and nephews: Andrew, Stephen and Jeffrey Velez, Samantha and Amanda Tucker; and several cousins.
