Albert Joseph Ghiotti, 66, entered into rest on Thursday, February 22, 2018. The
son of Amelia Ghiotti and the late Albert E. Ghiotti, he was born July 17, 1951
in Newburgh. Al was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy, Class of '69. He was a
lifetime member of Black Rock Fish & Game Club in Cornwall. He loved to hunt and
enjoyed his fishing trips with his father, brother and family. He was also an
avid bowler and belonged to several bowling leagues. He will be sadly missed by
all who knew and loved him. In addition to his mother Amelia, he is survived by
his daughters, Brie Ghiotti of Newburgh and Raquel LeDonni of Central, SC; his
brother Eugene Ghiotti of Port Jervis; his fiance Jeanette Cassio of Bronxville;
and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Monday,
February 26, 2018 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church,
Newburgh. Burial will be held at 12 pm on Friday, March 2 in Cedar Hill
Cemetery, Newburgh. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the
American Cancer Society
