John Murphy - Class of 1959

John Michael Murphy Sr. beloved husband of Jane Terwilliger Murphy passed away
Thursday February 22, 2018 at the Mike Conley Hospice House-Cornerstone Hospice,
Clermont, FL. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and
son who always put his family first. His family meant the world to him and him
to them. John always taught his family to take care of each other and he was
always there taking care of them. He was an avid Met fan who enjoyed watching
the games on TV and loved going to the baseball stadium to watch the games with
his family. He also enjoyed watching Fox News and the stock channel. He was
surrounded by many of his loving family during his courageous battle this past
week. John is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Jane Terwilliger Murphy,
and 3 loving children, his son John Murphy Jr. and his wife Luanne of New Paltz
NY, his daughter Colleen Corcoran and her husband Thomas of Milton NY, and his
son Michael Murphy of Ellenton FL who were always the apple of his eyes. He is
also survived by 5 beautiful grandchildren who loved him with all their hearts.
He was their Pop Pop and he was so proud of them. They are Thomas and Shannon
Corcoran of Milton, Alyssa Murphy of Washington DC, Kiley Murphy of Austin, TX,
and Jacob Murphy of Ellenton FL. He is also survived by his nephews Jeffrey
Broder of Frederick, MD, Shawn Moran of Newburgh, NY, and niece Carri Broder
Gregersen of Ridgewood NJ and several great nieces and nephews all who will miss
Uncle Johnny greatly. He is also survived by his loving sister-in-law Sharon
Broder, wife of the late Lawrence Broder who was John's best friend, of Marlboro
NY.
John was predeceased by his parents Mary and Michael Murphy, his brother Frank
Murphy, his sister Patricia Murphy Moran, and Helen Murphy Oldring. John was
great company, he loved to laugh and always made you smile. John never said
goodbye he always said so long because goodbye was too final. So long John, till
we meet again. In lieu flowers, donations may be made to Mike Conley Hospice

John Murphy - John died Feb.22,2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was a
wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. He had a wonderful sense of
humor. He was an avid Met fan and liked watching Fox news and the stock channel.
He loved his family and they were his pride and joy. He was married to Jane Terwilliger Murphy class of 1961 and was the father of 3 children John and
