Richard T. Bardin - Class of 1956

    Richard T. Bardin a lifelong resident of the area, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. He was 79. Son of the late John and Evelyn (O'Donovan) Bardin he was born in Newburgh on June 19, 1938. Richard earned a Bachelor's Degree from Marist College in Poughkeepsie. He was married to Elsie Bardin who predeceased him in February of 2015. He retired from IBM. Richard was a parishioner of Saint Mary's for many years until its closing, and more recently, Saint Francis Church. He was a volunteer for the McQuade Foundation. Richard was a devoted husband and father and loved by all who met him, he had a life well lived. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Janice, Debra and John. In addition to his wife and parents, Richard was predeceased by his brother Robert Bardin. Visitation will be held from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Friday, March 2 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave. Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM, on Saturday, March 3, at St Francis Church. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Richard's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, at www.alz.org
