Edna Mae King Mollica, 92, a long-time resident of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest on Monday, March 19, 2018 with her loving daughter, Pattie by her side. The daughter of the late Leslie B. King Sr. and Edna Mae (Blackburn) King McCarthy, she was born September 25, 1925 in Newburgh. She married William P. Mollica on April 4, 1948, who predeceased her in 1961. Edna attended Newburgh Schools and was a 1943 graduate of Newburgh Free Academy. She retired from IBM in 1990, where she worked as a Technical Specialist. Edna was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, a member of St. Anne's Society, Italian Center Ladies Auxiliary, Victory Lodge, and served as President of the Tenants' Association for Castle Court. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Patricia Robson of Poughquag; her brother, John "Jack" King and his wife, Marion of Florida; her sister, Tamar Odell and her husband, Grant of Highland; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews; as well as Pattie's grandbabies, Liam and Grace. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her grandson, Christopher W. Robson (1994), her stepfather, John McCarthy (2001), her son-in-law, Jim Robson (2003), her brother, Leslie King (2012), and her sister, Annette Leidig (2017). The family would like to thank Hospice and our family and friends at Wingate at Ulster for the wonderful care they gave to Edna. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 25 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 26 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 95 Mill St., Poughkeepsie, with burial following in St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
