Rosalie Argenio McDermott - Class of 1947

    Rosalie was born July 16, 1929 in Newburgh to Albert and Anna Argenio and entered into rest April 10, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center at the age of 88. Rosalie was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Joseph P. McDermott. She also was predeceased by her brothers Louis and Albert Argenio, and not to be forgotten, her beloved dog, Lilly. She is survived by her brother, Genaro Argenio and wife Dorothy. Her loving family includes her two sons, Joseph Michael McDermott, wife Lisa and Steven Louis McDermott, wife Andrea. The true "sparkle of her eye" was her three granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Hannah, and Makayla McDermott. For Kaitlyn her best memory is with her Mema was clipping articles of interest to read together; Hannah, was shopping the sale racks together to find that bargain; and with her youngest, Makayla, it was going to see her next dance performance. Her family included several nieces and nephews. Rosalie retired from the Social Security Administration. As a member of the Sacred Heart Parish she was always ready to lend a helping hand with many church functions. Also a passionate member of the Sacred Heart League and Catholic Daughters. In addition, an active member of the New Windsor Senior Citizens Group. Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Church, Robinson Avenue, Newburgh.
