Mary Ann Magyar Larrabee - Class of 1953

    Mary Ann entered into peaceful rest on Monday, May 7, 2018, at her home in the Town of Newburgh. She was 82. She was a lifelong resident of the area. Mary Ann was born June 11, 1935 to the late Julius V. and Rose Mazzola Magyar in Newburgh, NY. She graduated from NFA in 1953. Together with her parents, brother and extended family she ran the Little Cabin Inn in Newburgh, which served the local community as a gas station, restaurant and bar. They also rented small cabins to travelers and local workers for many years, and ran a small fruit stand as well. In 1980 Mary Ann married Robert Larrabee and was happily married until 2008 when Robert passed away. Mary Ann was a hard worker, loving wife, aunt and someone who would always help others in their time of need. She is survived and lovingly missed by her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Magyar; niece, Julie Magyar Neelyand her husband, David; nephew, Joseph Magyar and his wife, Kristen; great nieces and nephew: Isabella, Lukas and Vivian Magyar. She is also survived by her Aunt Anna Yonnone and many close cousins. She is predeceased by her parents, Rose and Julius and her brother Julius V. Magyar Jr. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 10th at The Engel Funeral Home, Inc., 5319 Route 9W, Newburgh (Middlehope), NY. Family and friends will gather at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 11th at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Roseton, NY to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Reverend Thomas Dicks will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Robert C.
