Frederick J. Klanka, a life long resident of Newburgh, entered into rest on Friday, May 11,2018 at the age of 96. Fred was born in Newburgh, NY on October 19,1921 to the late Frederick K. and Mary Hoban Klanka. Frederick was a WW II Hero Serving in the United States Army from 1943 to 1945. He was a retired Broadcast Engineer for WQXR where he would walk up Mt. Beacon daily to work. He enjoyed stamp and coin collecting and participating in parades as Civil War reenactments. Frederick is survived by a cousin, Dan Dakotas and his wife Ruth of KS, their son, Luke Daniel Dakotas, his daughter, Chloe Dakotas, dear friend and primary care giver, Christian D. Garrison and his wife Maureen of Newburgh and their loving family. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 20,2018 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Doulin Newburgh Funeral Home Inc. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Church on Monday, May 21,2018 at 10:30am, burial will full military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor, NY (camera shy) Replies to this post No replies yet |
