Glenda M. Jenkins of Maybrook, NY passed away on June 13, 2018 at home. She was 49. She was born February 2nd, 1969 in Newburgh, the beloved daughter of Teresa Jenkins and the late Arthur Jenkins. Glenda attended Newburgh Free Academy and Orange County Community College. She worked as a legal secretary and later as a home maker. Glenda adored her family, especially her niece and nephew who she would play with for hours on end. She had a tremendous heart, loved to give gifts, laugh and reminisce. Her voice and laughter would fill any room, she always greeted family with and hugs and kisses and rarely left a conversation with family without saying she loved them. She was an avid lover of science, music and the Italian language. Glenda was the angel of her family and will be dearly missed. Surviving are Glenda's mother, Teresa Jenkins of Newburgh, brothers Frank Jenkins of Newburgh, John Jenkins and his wife Anita of Orange, Ct. and David Jenkins of New Windsor, NY; her beloved niece Lilah and nephew Joey; and several aunts, uncles and cousins both in Naples, Italy and Tampa, Fla. Glenda was predeceased by her father Arthur Jenkins. Friends may visit from 5 to 8pm on Monday June 18th at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave, Newburgh, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday June 19th at 12pm at Sacred Heart Church, 301 Ann St, Newburgh, NY followed by burial at Calvary cemetery in New Windsor.
