Elizabeth Page Torelli - Class of 1946

  Elizabeth Page Torelli went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2018. Born October 14, 1928 in Newburgh to Mac and Ruth Page, she attended Newburgh schools and later received her GED in 1980. She was married to Eugene James Torelli. Together they had 7 children. She was predeceased by her husband Eugene, son Marco Torelli, sisters Ruth Page and Estelle Bynoe, nephew Kevin Paige all of the Bronx, and granddaughter Anita Garrett of Newburgh. She leaves behind 5 daughters and 1 son, Ramon Torelli, Kim and Loutte Pierre, Sonya and Anthony Bryant, Ondrea and Ralph Reid, Tamra and Floyd Johnson, Lisa and Matt Acker; her sister Lillian Washington; 27 grandchildren and 15 great-grand. Elizabeth was a member of Faith Temple Church of God & Christ for over 36 years where she held many positions, including President of fundraising committee, floral club and past president of Usher Board. She was also on the Pastor's Trustee Board, Pastor's Aide & helped wherever she was needed. Elizabeth worked for the Beacon City School District for 3 years, and after leaving the school district she took a temporary job at IBM and then USPS in Wappinger Falls. She worked for Castle Point Veteran's Administration as a Pharmacist's Assistant for 10 years. She later worked for Pathstone, a Non-Profit Organization where she had an office in the Dept. of Labor Building in Poughkeepsie. At Pathstone she held the title of Program Information Specialist, where she helped senior citizens that were coming back into the workforce. She had speakers that included Central Hudson, the Dept. of Social Services, the HEAP Program, Food Stamp Program and the Alzheimer's Association, all helping seniors to get information about services available to them. She then worked for Fishkill Correctional Facility in inmate accounts. Elizabeth attended Dutchess Community College at night in 1992 where she took drug and alcohol abuse courses with the intention of going into counseling. She also took courses in Home Health Care at Fishkill Health Related and received certificates. Elizabeth attended the Mid-Hudson Bible Institute from 1983 until 1987 where she received her bachelor's degree in Theology. Throughout her whole life she dedicated herself to helping others, whether it be family, friends, co-workers, fellow church members, or strangers. She opened her home and her heart to everyone and will sorely be missed. Visitation and services will begin at 10 am on Saturday, July 21 at Faith Temple Church of God in Beacon, NY, with burial following in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.
