Margaret Caroline "Peggy" McClellan Massa, 84, of The Villages, FL passed from
this world at her home on July 24, 2017, surrounded by her loving daughter, son,
and their spouses. Peggie was born in Newburgh, NY to the late John and Margaret
(McKibbin) McClellan. She graduated from Newburgh Free Academy, where she was a
cheerleader. Peggie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and
great-grandmother who moved with her husband to The Villages in 1994. She
quickly became an avid line dancer and golfer, and developed many close,
enduring friendships. She successfully battled lymphoma for over 20 years,
living a very active and fun-filled life. Peggie was preceded in death by her
husband, Ernest F. Massa. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Boland (Daniel
Erianne); son, Ernest J. Massa (Kimberly); grandsons, James (Lisa), Jason, and
Justin Boland; and great-grandchildren, Kayla, Isabella, Harrison, and Grant
Boland.
