Jamar Donte Walker, of Newburgh, New York entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. He was 30. Jamar was born on August 26, 1987 to Sherri Spell and Gerald Thomas Walker in Newburgh, NY. He attended Newburgh Free Academy and later received certificates of achievement from various programs in Atlanta, GA. Jamar had a kind and mild-mannered soul. He was a respectful, polite, young man. Jamar valued every moment he spent with his son Jeremiah as well as the time he spent just talking with his grandfather "Buster." He also enjoyed playing basketball with his friends. He leaves behind to cherish his memories: his mother, Sherri Spell and father, Gerald Thomas Walker of Newburgh, NY; one son, Jeremiah Walker of Newburgh NY; siblings, Thomas Walker, Javonte Melvin, Ta-Keya Walker, and Sanyah Davis all of Newburgh, NY; maternal grandfather, Hardy "Buster" Williams, Jr of Newburgh, NY; paternal grandparents, Gerald and Mary Lou Walker of Newburgh; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Jamar was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Mary Ann Stone. Mr. Walker will repose 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, August 17, 2018 at Baptist Temple, 7-11 William Street, Newburgh, NY. Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at the church. Elder Stacy Burks will officiate. Interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Middlehope, NY.
