    Thomas P. "Red" Donahue of Newburgh, NY passed this life peacefully at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh on Friday, August 17, 2018. He was 87. Thomas was the loving son of the late Thomas & Alice O'Neill Donahue. He was born in Newburgh, NY on October 27, 1930. He served his country proudly in the United States Army for over 7 years. For a livelihood he was a large equipment operator owning his own excavating business. Later on in life, besides a vegetable farmer, where he would grow and sell his vegetables on the honor system at an unattended stand in front of his home he also worked for many years with his friends at Newburgh Auto Auction. Tom was predeceased by his first wife Marie Glowacz Livoti Donahue and his second wife Betty Daley Costa Donahue. Thomas's family consists of 5 step children, 3 living and 2 deceased and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thomas's special caregivers, his granddaughter, Jaime Livoti Mennerich, along with her daughter, Brianna Livoti lovingly cared for Tom until his passing. Also leaving behind to mourn him are his 2 devoted dogs Bud and Browndog. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4pm - 7pm at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro. A mass of Christian burial will be offered on Wednesday morning at 10:30am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Newburgh. Entombment to follow at Cedar Hill Mausoleum, Newburgh with full military honors.
